Brilliant Edith Todd 'Morning Glory' Vintage Print

Product ID: A117

This wonderful striking vintage print of spring garden flowers, by the British artist Edith Todd, dated 1969 is over forty years old and still brimming with floral appeal. Depicting mixed flora in the Dutch tradition, including  poppy, iris, clematis, tulip, laburnum, pinks and roses, it is beautifully bold. Showcased against a dark ground, the stunning colours of the flowers are warm and clear as in nature; and are rather appropriately titled 'Morning Glory'. This lovely picture wonderfully captures the fleeting beauty of these flowers, many of which are at their very best in the freshness of the morning, as the title rather aptly suggests. The flowers are displayed upon a marble table in a deep blue and gilt decorated vase, with the artists name and date in the bottom left of the painting.

Size & Condition:

This lovely large picture measures approximately 20" by 26" and is complete in its original frame. Both of which are in excellent condition for their 40 plus years! The original title label is still attached to the back as are two hooks and a string.

A really stunning gem of a sixties find  in fabulous vintage condition!
