A beautifully attractive 1930s/40s wool rug with enormous contemporary and vintage appeal. This rug in a lovely neutral shade, depicts a pretty period floral (hydrangeas, bluebells & lily of the valley) and abstract design, in period shades of moss green, pink, yellow, blue and black.
Size & Condition:
The rug measures approximately 63" by 36" and has hand stitched cotton tape to the two short sides. It is in good clean condition for its age. In several areas along one length the pile has worn away. Elsewhere there are odd spark spots from an open fire. Discovered, rolled in cotton, in storage in an important Georgian village house this is a fantastic opportunity to own a lovely period piece with contemporary appeal.
