This charming breakfast set shows a design of small rose motifs. The roses are worked in two shades of pink, graduating to a deep rose. The leaves are in two shades of green and the scalloped edge is button-holed in a rich shade of brown. Note the deep gold centres of each flower and contrasting leaves that 'raise' the whole picture.
It is an attractive, complete breakfast set comprising an egg-cosy, a tea cosy and a tray-cloth. Made of pure Irish linen, it was originally offered for sale as a kit in a woman's magazine from the 1950s, for the sum of 4 shillings!
The pretty set is in excellent unused condition.
The lovely shaded roses and two-tone leaves form a beautiful floral spray design.
