Fresh Daisy & Cornflower Floral Still Life Original

Product ID: A166

A lovely still life on timber board, of daisies and cornflowers in a period glass vase set upon a blue and ochre banded plate.

This is a wonderfully fresh and informal still life of familiar garden flowers in a relaxed natural bouquet, casually set upon a plate. The simplicity of the blooms is echoed in the casual, easy arrangement. Add a lovely carefree flourish as a centrepiece to a floral inspired interior or corner; that conjures up a real feeling of fresh, warm homeliness. The soft colours and style evoke the fresh wholesome country feeling of Vanessa Arbuthnot fabrics and interiors. Relaxed and simple, you can almost breathe in the fragrance of the freshly picked blooms. A wonderful large bunch have been gathered from the garden and thrust into a clear glass vessel. The painting hints at a dewy natural garden, with its lovely soft colours and timeless beauty.  Delicate feathery foliage and cheerful flowers of varying heights intermingle to bring a garden feel to any room in this lovely good sized painting. Signed by the artist in the bottom right corner, the painting is also inscribed by hand on the back; H.Manota 1997. The colours of the blooms; white, chalky pinks and cornflower blue, are clear and fresh against the warm, soft yellow toned ground, which has an added depth and resonance from the texture of the timber board, giving the picture a simple homespun honesty.

This lovely relaxed picture, measures approximately 21ins. by 14.5ins (53cm x 37cm) in its frame. In very good condition, this good sized picture would add a gorgeous fresh flourish to a vintage country inspired interior in town or the country!
