Gilded Heraldic Tudor Rose Tumbler Trio

Product ID: C162

A fabulous trio of historically inspired 'Tudor Rose glasses.

Decorated in an all over, intricate white leaf design, interspersed with gilded Tudor roses. The rose, the national flower of England, was adopted as England's emblem during the Wars of the Roses (1455-1485). The design incorporated the white rose of York as the centre of the flower and, the red rose of Lancaster as the surrounding outer. Symbolizing unity and mutual regard, the Tudor Rose is a part of the British heraldic tradition. It has been incorporated into many buildings, including Hampton Court Palace, the gun of the Mary Rose and the current 20p coin.

These elegant heraldic glasses measures approximately 14 cm tall and 5.5cm in diameter; perfect for a G&T or Pimms! Good to hold in the hand yet ample enough for a generous measure! In very good condition.

A wonderful finishing touch for the period inspired home.
