Pair of Glorious 1950s Gardening Guides

Product ID: H118

These guides will appear in a forthcoming feature in a national magazine.

These fabulous little pocket books are an absolute must for the gardener and armchair lover of floribunda alike. Wonderfully illustrated book covers depicting annuals; Sweet Williams, Marigolds, Love-in-a-mist, Chrysanthemums and Dahlias, or gorgeous blowsy roses capture the very essence of an old English cottage garden. Vividly coloured, these diminutive beauties are little masterpieces of vintage floral art, as well being thoroughly captivatingly written growing guides.

Size & Condition:

Each guide measures 5” by 4” and has a full colour front and back cover image. They are in very good vintage condition for their age (60 years!), with just a small crease on the front cover of one. Savour the personal message, dated Goff’s Oak, 1952, by the author and professional gardener, Mr Cuthbert, and enjoy “success in the most healthy and happy recreation of all-gardening”.

Mount under glass and display for lasting perennial blooms!
